This 1949 New Rugs Book is Star Book No. 63. The original price of this vintage
book was 10 cents. It is 10-1/2" x 7-1/2" and is 15 pages long.
Included in the craft book are many rug patterns for handmade rugs: floral tuft,
diamond tile, Scotty dog, classic, cabin, circular braided rug, crocheted chain
braided, crocheted lamp, white swan, water lily, bow knot, frontier, monarch butterfly,
fireside, and a wire haired terrier dog. Most required a rug foundation, but one
is braided and a couple are crocheted.
This rug pattern book is excellent for a 56-year-old book. There is no writing,
highlighting, or tears in this pattern book. There is a little shelf wear, but I
guess that is understandable!
