This softcover quilting book entitled "Crazy Quilt Odyssey
- Adventures in Victorian Needlework" written by Judith Montano. This
out-of-print book contains 17 new projects, entire sections on punch needle and
silk ribbon embroidery, expanded stitch dictionary and source list, and a
glossary of international terms.
Judith Montano is easily one of the modern
masters of crazy quilt techniques and embellishment needlework. The book begins
with a short history of piecing, quilting, and embellishment. She does not limit
herself to quilts. She gives great ideas and instructions for smaller projects,
including many for wearable art and adding embellishments to ordinary street
clothes.
This quilt pattern book is 8-1/2" x 11" and contains 144 pages. The copyright
date is 1991. It is in excellent condition. There is a crease across the center
front and back covers. It looks like it happened during the manufacturing
process.
