Hand-Knit Scarves

All these scarves were hand knit by me in
Lakeway, Texas. They were hand knit the old fashioned way - with knitting
needles and yarn. They were not knit on a knitting machine or imported from
another country.
Hand knit scarves are currently available in these colors:
I am really impressed with the quality of yarn made by Lion Brand and have
used their yarn in all the scarves I have made. They are often a little higher
in cost, but the quality of the finished scarf is well worth the additional cost
of the yarn.
The four types of scarves I have knit are all are designed and hand knit by
me (Jeanne). One type is made with Lion Brand Fun Fur yarn, one is made from
Lion Brand Jiffy yarn, one is made with
Lion Brand Homespun yarn, and one is made with Lion Brand Incredible yarn. Each type
of scarf is beautiful but in a different way. There
are lots of colors and variations. Just spend some time looking around...
None of the scarves is made from wool. The fun fur yarn is 100% polyester,
the Jiffy yarn is 100% acrylic, the Homespun yarn is 98% acrylic and 2% polyester,
and the Incredible yarn is 100% nylon.
- The fun fur hand knit scarf is sometimes called an eyelash scarf. Each fun
fur scarf is hand knit
with two strands of yarn to give the scarf more stability. One strand
is fun fur yarn and one strand is either knitted worsted yarn, Homespun yarn, or
another strand of fun fur yarn.
These hand knit scarves are ultra soft, deeply luxurious, and in a blend
of colors to go with any outfit - from the casual to the sophisticated. These eyelash
yarn scarves are great for fashion and also for warmth!
- The Jiffy yarn is velvety soft, 2-ply brushed acrylic that looks like mohair.
The colors are outstanding!
- The Homespun yarn can best be described as soft, silky, and absolutely
beautiful! It is a uniquely textured yarn that can't be beat for softness and
sheer touch-ability. I love the variations in the yarn and the wonderful feel
against my skin.
- The Incredible ribbon yarn is truly incredible! With an amazing array of
beautifully blended colors, silky drape, and unbeatable versatility, this
luscious ribbon yarn truly lives up to its name. I have made scarves with it and
have also used it to make fringe.
These scarves range from 2" wide to 5-1/2" wide and 40" to 76" long.
They make super handcrafted gifts! Think about those ladies, teens, and little
girls that you
know. Hand knit scarves are so popular right now.
Care instructions for these Lionbrand yarn scarves: Machine wash and dry
on the gentle cycle or dry clean. Do not bleach or iron.
All these scarves were made in a pet-free, smoke-free home. No allergies to
worry about or strange smells...
