This is an unprinted 1930s Butterick 2222 sewing pattern for a woman's dress.
This pattern is an original - we do not sell reproductions or copies. The
instructions are included.
The back of the pattern says: "Admirably neat one-piece tailored shirt frock.
The slenderizing pleats in panel effect running from neck to hemline are partially
accented by stitching. Sleeves, wrist length with cuff or short. Choice of two necklines.
Six-piece skirt."
This pattern is for a 34" bust, a 28" waist, and a 37" hip. The actual pattern
size is not given - only the measurements. The back of the pattern calls this a
women's one-piece shirt frock. The original price was 35 cents. I am basing the
age of the pattern on this price.
Vintage sizing is smaller than today's sizing. It is best to
ignore traditional sizing altogether and simply order the pattern by bust size
as any necessary alterations are usually easier in other areas of the garment.
The envelope shows some wear and discoloration.
The unprinted pattern pieces and instructions appear to be in very good condition.
