A grown-up version of the bishop dress, especially designed for
older girls. Corded piping joins round yoke to smocked dress. Elbow length or
long sleeves gathered into straight band cuffs. lace trim or piping on collars
and cuffs and pockets.
The designer, Florence Roberson, is a well-known smocking designer. She is
one of the original and best known of the instructors and pattern designers for
English Smocking. Her patterns are multi-sized and fit beautifully.
Instructions are well written and illustrated.
