Vintage sewing items are both usable and collectible. In addition to using
the thread for sewing, you can even decorate with wooden thread spools. I have
several antique butter crocks and blue canning jars filled with these wooden
thread spools. I also like to use vintage pin cushions when I am sewing.
The vintage sewing patterns are not copies - they are
the real thing! When you can buy the real thing, why spend your money on
photocopies of patterns. Please remember that vintage sizing is
smaller than today's sizing. It is best to ignore traditional sizing altogether
and simply order the pattern by bust size as any necessary alterations are
usually easier in other areas of the garment.
